In route to Ritual’s overcrowded coffee bar, thoughts of Obama being elected added a swiftness to my stride. I couldn’t believe it, I was feeling inspired. Then just as quickly, images of the last two elections smacked me back into reality and suddenly I felt I was dragging my old cynical self down the pavement.
